@bosslady@burningbird.net Thank you for your view on ActivityPub and Friends plugin Shelley. Nice to hear others experiences with these plugins. I have also tried them for a couple of months, and for me the friends plugin does solve some missing things in WordPress that AcitivityPub does not have. It makes it possible to comment on other peoples posts, which I think is important. I have set an expiry date and maximum number of friends posts in the database until now.

Den her nyhed er gået over hovedet på mig. WordPress har overtaget det plugin der implementerer ActivityPub i WordPress, som udvikles af Matthias Pfefferle. De har også ansat udviklerne til at arbejde videre med det. Det er en kæmpe nyhed, fordi det tyder på at WordPress i fremtiden vil få endnu bedre integration med ActivityPub og dermed Mastodon og Fediverset.

De seneste år har jeg testet muligheden for at implementere ActivityPub på WordPress, og dermed lave sin WordPress hjemmeside om til en Fedivers server. IT-blogger som jeg kører kan man for eksempel følge på Fediverset fra @andreas@www.it-blogger.dk. Området har udviklet sig en del, selvom det endnu ikke er perfekt. I denne artikel har jeg skrevet lidt om hvordan man kommer igang.

The ActivityPub plugin for WordPress (and the other Fediverse plugins) is a great plugin, but still missing some features. I hope the following will come in 2023:
- Comments in WP will be presented in the fediverse as comments to the main post.
- Ability to interact with your WP user in the fediverse, ie. comments on other posts, boost, like and quote.
- Connect an app to your WP fediverse server and then interact in the fediverse with it.

Her er endnu et indlæg hvor der skrives om muligheden for at få din WordPress blog i Fediverset. Jeg bruger dog ikke WebFinger pluginet, og det ser ud til at virke fint
