Andreas Andersen 14. april 2026 · 22:27Welcome to my WordPress microblog. I am here testing different solutions for a selfhosted microblog.
The latest years I have had a WP microblog connected to the fediverse on the address @andreas@apha.dk, using the WP ActivityPub plugin. But now I’m starting with a new solution, where I try to build a microblog from scratch.
This WP Microblog is using Ansico SoMe plugin to create a microblog experience. Until now I have build the most basic settings and will start to test these. Read more about the plugin here: https://ansico.dk/Ansico/Ansico-SoMe-plugin

Now also joined Post.news, to test it out. Post.news have been one of the microblogging services some has chosen instead of Mastodon, when leaving Twitter.

I’ve heard that they are joining the Fediverse in this year, anyone that can verify that?

I know the following frontends for Mastodon. Any other recommendations?

The ActivityPub plugin for WordPress (and the other Fediverse plugins) is a great plugin, but still missing some features. I hope the following will come in 2023:
- Comments in WP will be presented in the fediverse as comments to the main post.
- Ability to interact with your WP user in the fediverse, ie. comments on other posts, boost, like and quote.
- Connect an app to your WP fediverse server and then interact in the fediverse with it.

Most software in the Fediverse allows you to move followers, import follows, bookmarks, blocks etc. But I have not yet seen it possible to export posts in a format that easily can be imported in another instance of another Fediverse software. It should be possible in the Fediverse to move your content to other software or another instance

I have started testing different Fedivers software, such as Mastodon, Pleroma and Calckey. Which is your favorite and why? #fediverse
