Sounds great. When is v1.0.0 of ActivityPub expected? Because if it is within some months I might just wait for that

Or you wait until v1.0.0, then you can set the image in the WordPress customizer.

ActivityPub has no "migration" feature yet, so Mastodon implemented a proprietary solution, which might only work for Mastodon servers. I planned to implement that, but it is not very well documented and was not top prio for now. That said, for WordPress.com we would need something similar very soon, so it might get some more importance now.
Long story shoort, there is no possibility yet 🙁

I have ActivityPub installed on WordPress and this way presenting it to Fediverse and Mastodon. But is it possible to add a cover photo to an author and then also present that using ActivityPub, so the author in Mastodon gets a cover photo?
